About

I am a freelance webdesigner who absolutely loves her work.
I grew up in former East Germany, in the city of Dresden. In 1997 I came to the U.S. I lived in New York City and in Mountain View (California), before moving to my current home, Shaker Heights (Ohio). It has been a great privilege to experience different cultures and places firsthand.

I created my first website in 1998 for the German Academic Exchange Service, the organization I worked for at the time (the site's design has since changed). I learned webdesign and the necessary coding and programming mostly by myself. I love this work, because webdesign lets me combine my aesthetic sense with analytical thinking and technical skills.

My background is in science (I have a M.S. in Chemistry), and many of my projects have been websites for the scientific community. While I love this field, I am also eager and open to venture into different areas.

Besides my work on websites, I love other creative activities, especially photography, and making jewelry. I also like to explore galleries to see artists' work, I am a big fan of contemporary dance and theater, and I love being outside enjoying everything nature has to offer.
When I am not busy with my family or doing any of the above, I am probably out: running.
